ticaIt may have been upgraded since we were there in 2002, but was not up to par. No elevators and LOTS of stairs if that is a problem (as it is for me). Poor kitchen - just OK
buzmar86Small hotel. Reminds me of "true" Mexico. Authenic. Staff wonderful and helpful. Attends to your every need. All inclusive is the way to go. You can eat at the Grand Avalon/and Avalon Reef also.
aloha1999Getting there was like traveling to a 3rd world country. This resort was dirty, no hot water in showers, Had to rquest drinking water but paid for all-inclusive. It was lke staying at the Bates Motel.
sharonjThis hotel is geared for a mature crowd. Quiet, pleasant to look at, decent to good service, nice beach. Romantic. Avalon Grand was more fun.
atony3474was suppose to be at baccara,i was changed to avalon.I spoke to people staying there very unhappy. They said food, service everything was BAD. Pool bar was never open. BUT i didnt stay there
betsy1218This was an AMAZING place to stay!
BARBEESmall, quaint little place, perfect for those who are looking for a quiet place; defiintely not a mega-hotel with lots of people all over the place. Service and staff were excellent. Pool area nice.
Cbeach1The Baccara use to be a private home. Thus the architecture is very interesting. It has very little in terms of grounds. The beach, pool and beach bar is basically it. Nice place.
